Rolando Luna and the Havana Jazz trio
Cuban piano virtuoso Rolando Luna brings his electrifying Jazz Trio to Nevill Holt Festival for an evening of blended Afro-Cuban rhythms with dazzling improvisational flair.
Rolando is a former pianist with the Grammy award-winning Buena Vista Social Club, with whom he performed at the White House. Luna has also won both the Piano Competition and the Audience Award at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
Joined by Ruy Adrian Lopez Nusa on Drums, Thibaud Soulas on Double Bass and Beny Luis on vocals, the trio flows between intimacy and fire, balancing elegance with explosive energy. From appearances at Europe’s premier jazz festivals – including Jazz in Marciac, France, and the acclaimed San Francisco Jazz Festival their performances have earned widespread acclaim.
