Join renowned artist Michael Craig-Martin as he discusses his life and work with art historian, writer and curator Marco Livingstone.

Craig-Martin has enjoyed an illustrious career, establishing himself as one of the definitive figures of British art and one of the most influential artists and teachers of his generation.

Craig-Martin is renowned for his exceptional draftsmanship and unique fusion of pop, minimalism and conceptual art. Amongst his most celebrated and beloved works are those of everyday objects, which he depicts in bold vibrant colours and sleek graphic lines.

Craig-Martin has exhibited extensively around the world, including his seminal show at the Royal Academy of Arts in London last year, which was met with huge popularity and great critical acclaim.

The festival will continue to present a varied and rich programme of events in addition to opera that includes a wide range of talks and ‘in conversation’ events on visual art, culture, history, politics, wellbeing, sport and design as well as jazz, classical and world music performances, family events and comedy.
